한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 울진군 지역인재 양성을 위해 체육특기생 및 우수졸업생을 선발해 장학금을 전달한다고 12일 밝혔다.

한울본부는 관내 중·고등학교 재학생으로 각종 대회에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 대한체육회 소속인 축구, 사격, 요트분야 체육특기생 65명에게 장학증서와 함께 장학금 3,250만 원을 전달한다.
또한 우수졸업생 표창 사업으로 관내 26개 초·중·고교 우수졸업생 26명에게 표창장과 총 1천160만 원의 장학금을 수여한다. 학교장의 추천을 받은 우수 학생은 부상으로 초등학생 20만 원, 중학생 50만 원, 고등학생 100만 원의 장학금을 받는다.
올해는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 별도의 행사를 생략했으며, 졸업식 일정에 맞춰 학교 자체 수여식에서 장학증서를 전달하고 장학금은 개별로 지급할 예정이다.
박범수 본부장은“지역인재에 대한 아낌없는 응원과 격려를 약속하며 향후에는 4차산업혁명과 연계한‘한울본부식 교육장학 사업’을 선정·발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
