한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 울진군 약 2만여 가구를 대상으로 가정용 상수도 요금 지원사업을 시행한다고 9일 밝혔다.

한울본부에 따르면 울진군 상수도 요금 지원사업은 지난 1월 울진군 맑은물사업소와 협약에 따라 가정용 급수전(계량기)을 사용하는 가구에 대해 월 5천 원 한도 내에서 지원하며, 기본 및 체납 요금은 제외된다. 별도의 신청은 없으며, 2월 청구서(1월 사용량)부터 반영될 예정이다.
한울본부는 작년 주택용·산업용 전기요금 보조사업 및 가정용 TV 수신료 지원사업으로 약 29억 원을 지원했다. 기존 사업과 더불어 올해는 가정용 상수도 요금 지원사업에 약 10억 원을 추가 지원할 예정이다.
북면 주민 A씨는 “주민이 직접 체감할 수 있는 가정용 상수도 요금 지원사업에 감사하며, 앞으로도 다수의 주민이 고루 혜택을 볼 수 있는 지원을 부탁드린다”며 고마움을 전했다.
박범수 본부장은 “코로나19로 어려운 지역주민 모두에게 실질적으로 혜택이 돌아가는 보편적 복지사업을 지속 발굴하여 지원하겠다.”고 말했다.
