울진군, 하천정비사업 조기 추진

울진군은 올해 총 90억원을 투입 하천제방정비, 둔치정비, 하천주변 환경정비 등 19개 지구로 현재 각 사업에 대하여 지난 연말을 기점으로 조기에 실시설계를 추진하여 본격적인 사업을 추진한다고 16일 밝혔다.

이를 통해 관내 지방하천과 소하천에 우수기 전 하천통수단면을 확보하고 하천제방을 정비하여, 태풍 및 집중호우 시 하천범람으로 인한 주택 및 농경지 침수피해를 사전에 예방한다.

군은 설계추진과정에서 주민들의 안전을 위해 사전에 유수병목현상 등으로 범람에 취약한 지역의 현황조사를 통해 설계에 반영하였으며, 사업추진 시 원활한 유수흐름을 위해 지장목 제거와 둔치환경 정비 등 지역주민들의 숙원사항을 최대한 반영하여 추진할 방침이다.

표남호 건설과장은 “하천정비사업을 적극 추진해 여름철 우기 이전까지 사업을 완료하여 태풍 및 집중호우로 인한 하천 범람 및 농경지 침수를 사전에 예방하고, 주민불편 해소에 힘쓰겠다”고 전했다.
