세종시교육감 선거에 출마한 유문상 예비후보가 지난 27일 대평동 전통시장을 찾아 지역주민들과 지지자들에게 출마 인사를 했다.
이날 전통시장을 찾은 유문상 예비후보는 당시 학부형이었던 주민 및 고객들과 금호중학교 활성화에 대한 여러 대화를 나눴다. 주민들은 교육청 차원에서 금호중학교에 대한 지원과 세종시 교육현황에 대한 문제점을 건의하기도 했다.
유문상 세종시교육감 예비후보는 2003년부터 4년 간 금호중학교에 교원으로 재직한 경력이 있어 금호중학교를 학군에 둔 주민들과 많은 소통을 한 경험이 있다.
유문상 예비후보는 충북 증평이 고향이며, 청주농업고등학교(농업과), 충북대학교를 졸업하고 한국교원대에서 박사학위를 받았다.
유 예비후보는 34년간 세종국제고, 금호중, 조치원중 등 중등에서 교육활동을 하고 한국교원대, 한국관광대에서 외래교원으로 재직한 바 있으며 현재는 광주여대에서 강의하고 있다.
또 유문상 세종시교육감 예비후보는 “공자뎐, 논어는 이것이다”와 “유가의 길을 묻노니”를 저술한 인문학 작가이기도 하며 시민단체활동가이기도 하다. 그는 세종미래교육시민연대 상임대표를 맡고 있으며, 일본군 위안부 피해자 기념사업 조례제정추진 운영위원장을 역임하기도 했다.
