[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도교육청이 2일 오전 도교육청 제2청사 앞 인권·평화 조형물 ‘기억과 소망’ 앞에서 네 번째 추모식을 열었다.
‘기억과 소망’ 조형물은 지난 2017년 9월 내외부 전문가들의 의견을 모아 ‘전시 일본군의 여성 인권 유린과 평화통일 염원’이라는 주제로 건립되었다.
추모식은 2018년 2월 28일 설치한‘기억과 소망’ 4주년과 3·1운동 103주년을 기념해 박종훈 교육감 등 주요 간부가 참석한 가운데 간소하게 진행됐다.
박 교육감은 추모사에서 “일본군 위안부 피해자 할머니들의 용기 있는 목소리와 행동을 기억하고, 교육이 우리의 아픈 역사를 지켜가는 가장 큰 힘이 될 수 있도록 각별한 사명감을 가지겠다”고 밝히고 “우리 아이들이 높은 역사의식과 나라 사랑 정신을 지닌, 깨어있는 민주시민으로 자라날 수 있도록 그 역할을 계속해 나갈 것이다”며 행사의 의미를 되새겼다.
