충남도의회는 제335회 임시회 복지환경위원회 2차 회의에서 ‘충청남도 심폐소생술 교육 활성화에 관한 조례안’이 가결됐다고 20일 밝혔다.
김기서 의원(부여1·더불어민주당)이 대표발의한 이 조례안은 심정지 환자의 초기생존율 향상 등 도민의 생명과 건강을 보호하기 위해 심폐소생술 교육 활성화에 대한 사항을 규정하고 있다.
조례안은 심폐소생술 교육계획을 수립하고, 도민을 대상으로 심폐소생술 교육을 시행하는 단체나 기관에 예산 범위에서 필요한 경비를 지원하는 내용을 담고 있다.
또 교육 접근성을 높이고 양질의 교육을 제공하기 위해 시·군, 교육기관·대한적십자사, 의료기관 등 관련 기관과 협력체계를 구축하도록 명시했다. 아울러 도민의 자발적 심폐소생술 교육을 실시하기 위해 관련 교육을 수료한 사람 중에서 자원봉사자를 모집·운영할 수 있도록 했다.
김 의원은 “심폐소생술의 중요성에 대한 인식을 개선하고, 심폐소생술 교육을 확대하는 계기가 될 것으로 본다”고 말했다.
조례안은 오는 29일 열리는 제335회 임시회 3차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다.
