브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 박근혜 전 대통령이 24일 퇴원하며 "국민여러분께 5년만에 인사드리게 됐다. 많은 염려해주셔서 건강이 많이 회복됐다"라고 밝혔다.
박근혜 전 대통령은 석방 절차를 밟은 지 83일 만에 휠체어 등의 도움없이 스스로 병원 문을 걸어나오며 국민 앞에서 직접 육성으로 발언했다. 박 전 대통령은 그간 측근인 유영하 변호사를 통해 간접적으로 메시지만 밝혀왔다.
서울 삼성병원 앞에 기다리던 수많은 지지자와 취재진을 보고 환하게 웃는 모습도 보였다. 남색 코트를 입은 박 전 대통령은 취재진에게 "건강이 많이 회복됐다", "지난 4개월 동안 헌신적으로 치료에 임해주신 의료진과 관계자 여러분께 감사의 말씀을 드리고 싶다" 등의 짧게 말한 뒤 병원을 떠났다.
첫 대국민 메시지였으나 정치적인 발언은 없었고, 향후 거취 등에 대해서도 답하지 않았다.
박 전 대통령은 부친과 모친의 묘역이 있는 국립서울현충원으로 향했으며 이후에는 사저가 마련된 대구 달서로 향할 예정이다.
