"3년전 이탈리아 밀라로에 갔다가 다리미와 재봉틀들 2백여점을 구매, 소장하게 됐어요. 이탈리아 사람들은 팬티도 다려 입는 답니다. 그리고 여행을 다닐 때, 소형 손재봉틀을 가지고 다닌다고 합니다. 귀족 가문의 문양이 조형물이 장착된 유럽의 다리미를 보면, 다리미 이전에 아름다운 조각품을 보는듯 합니다. 그런, 유럽의 다리미-재봉틀을 소장하게 돼 행복합니다."
박찬효 대표가 수집한 다리미-재봉틀들은 이 분야의 역사를 한데 모아놓은 의미를 부여할 수 있다.

박찬효 대표는 수십년 간 우리 조상들의 지적 흔적이 묻어있는 '한적'도 300여점 수집해왔다고 한다. '한적'이란, 붓글씨로 쓴 옛 책을 뜻한다. 그는 연암 박지원의 언행록, 한석봉 글씨 등도 소장하고 있다고.
