[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 4월 1일부터 낙동강 녹색자전거길을 이용하고자 하는 시민들의 편의를 위해 자전거 무료대여소를 운영한다고 29일 밝혔다.
창원시 생활자전거타기실천협의회가 운영하는 자전거 무료 대여소는 창원시 의창구 북면 하천리 14-16번지에 있다. 4월 1일부터 10월 31일까지 7개월간 매일 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지 운영된다. 자전거는 150대(1인용 120대, 2인용 30대)를 비치하고 있다. 지난해에는 자전거 이용 인원이 적은 8월에는 운영하지 않았지만, 시민들의 요청으로 올해는 추석 연휴에만 운영하지 않는다.
낙동강 자전거 무료 대여소는 지난 2013년 개소하여 10년째 운영되고 있으며, 매년 이용인원이 증가하고 있고 2021년에는 7830여명이 다녀갔다. 올해도 많은 시민들과 인근 자전거 마니아들이 찾을 것으로 예상된다.
