브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= bhc치킨의 대학생 봉사 단체인 ‘해바라기 봉사단’ 6기 1조 봉사단원이 지난 8일 서울 강서구에 위치한 국제구호개발 NGO 글로벌비전이 주관하는 저소득층 아동을 위한 교육용 환경 팝업북 제작 비대면 봉사활동에 참여했다.
이번 봉사활동은 아이들이 흥미를 가질 수 있는 팝업북을 통해 아이들에게 지구 온난화의 심각성과 환경의 중요성을 생각할 수 있도록 도움을 주고자 기획됐다.
봉사단원들은 이날 준비된 팝업북 제작 키트를 설명서에 따라 정성껏 한 페이지씩 꾸미며 제작에 들어갔다. 자체 검수를 통해 이상 유무를 확인한 후 해당 기관으로 팝업북을 전달했다. 이번에 제작된 팝업북은 글로벌비전을 통해 아동생활시설 및 지역아동센터로 보내져 학습용 교구로 사용될 예정이다.
입체적으로 펼쳐지는 팝업북은 아이들에게 호기심과 상상력을 자극함과 동시에 재미를 더한 교육용 책자다. 이번 해바라기 봉사단을 통해 제작되는 팝업북은 아이들에게 지구 온난화의 원인과 심각성을 가르치고 지구를 보호 할 수 있는 현실적인 방법을 통해 아이들이 친환경 생활을 실천할 수 있는 내용으로 꾸며졌다.
bhc치킨 관계자는 “이번에 제작된 팝업북을 통해 아이들이 환경보호에 대한 체계적인 생각이 가질 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 bhc치킨은 해바라기 봉사단 활동이 우리 사회가 좀 더 더불어 사는 사회로 변화하는 데 도움이 될 수 있도록 적극적인 지원을 지속해 나갈 것이다”고 전했다.
한편, 2017년 최초 발족한 해바라기 봉사단은 대표적인 대학생 봉사 단체로 자리 잡으며 현재 6기가 활동하고 있다. 이들은 지난 1분기 동안 급식 봉사활동, 어르신들을 위한 행복 키트 제작, 해외 저소득층을 위한 컬러링북 제작, 안양천 환경정화 활동 등 다양한 활동을 펼쳤으며, 오는 12월까지 도움이 필요한 이웃을 직접 찾아 함께하는 사회적 가치를 지속적으로 실천해 나갈 예정이다.
