경상북도와 강원도에서 지난달 4일 발생한 산불로 주택피해를 본 이웃들에게 국민 성금이 전달된다.
희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 경북 울진과 강원 강릉‧동해‧삼척지역 피해 주택 소유 340세대와 세입자 58세대 등 총 398세대에 국민 성금 102억8천4백만원을 전달한다고 12일 밝혔다.
희망브리지는 빠른 성금 전달을 위해 이사회를 긴급 개최해 경북도와 강원도의 피해 집계에 따라 지원 대상을 선정, 1차 지원액을 확정했다.
사회복지공동모금회와 대한적십자사도 같은 날 각각 51억9천만원과 24억7천만원을 주택피해 이웃에게 전했다.
세 기관은 산불 발생 초기부터 행정안전부, 피해 지자체와 함께 성금 쓰임새를 두고 협의했고, 최근 주택피해에 대해 1차 지원을 결정했다.
세 기관은 집이 모두 탄 303세대에 ▲희망브리지 3천만원 ▲모금회 1천5백만원 ▲적십자 7백만원 등 총 5천2백만원을 지원했다. 절반가량 탄 5세대엔 3천1백만원(▲희망브리지 2천만원 ▲모금회 6백만원 ▲적십자 5백만원), 주택 일부가 불에 탄 32세대에는 1천1백50만원(▲희망브리지 7백만원 ▲모금회 2백70만원 ▲적십자 1백80만원), 피해 주택에 세 들어 살던 58세대에 2천5백만원(▲희망브리지 1천5백만원 ▲모금회 6백50만원 ▲적십자 3백50만원)을 지원했다. 세 단체가 이번에 지원하는 국민성금은 182억 6천50만원이다.

희망브리지는 모금회, 적십자사, 행안부 등과 협의를 거쳐 국민 성금의 추가 지원 방향을 결정할 방침이다.
희망브리지 송필호 회장은 “이번 1차 지원이 이재민분들이 일상으로 하루빨리 돌아가는 데에 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “산불로 삶의 터전을 잃은 이웃들을 위해 성금을 보내주신 국민과 기업, 단체에 감사드린다”고 말했다.
한편, 11일 기준 희망브리지(508억원), 모금회(196억원), 적십자사(47억원), 월드비전(10억원), 굿네이버스(4억원)가 모금한 국민 성금은 767억원에 이른다.
