협약식에는 조유섭 정보산업진흥본부장, 승해경 경상남도다문화가족지원센터장이 참석하였으며, 다수의 다문화가족 자녀들이 체감하고 있는 주변 인식을 제고하고, 창의·과학교육 및 체험활동을 활성화하여 창의적 인재를 육성하고자 진행됐다.
이번 행사는 미래채움사업의 일환으로 진행되었는데, 경남TP는 미래채움사업을 통해 김해·거창·거제·사천·하동의 청소년수련관 및 지역아동센터와 함께 권역별 SW체험실을 구축하여 정보 소외지역 학생들의 SW교육 접근성을 향상시키고 있다.
이번 협약을 통해 진행될 활동은 5월부터 시작되며, 활동에 참여할 다문화가족 자녀들은 비트브릭, 오조봇 등의 교구를 활용한 SW교육 및 기관 방문을 통한 체험활동에 참여할 예정이다.
조유섭 정보산업진흥본부장은 “양 기관에는 인적·물적 자원 연계로 함께 상생하고 성장할 수 있는 발판을 마련하고, 다문화가족 자녀들에게는 다양한 체험활동을 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있어 사회 적응과 문화 이해를 돕는 계기가 될 수 있을 것이라”고 말했다.
