울진군 특산물 ‘해방풍’ 본격 출하

28일 울진군에 따르면 해방풍은 4계절 출하가 가능하지만 이맘때가 가장 향이 좋고 부드러워 미식가들의 입맛을 사로잡고 있으며, 본격적으로 생산이 시작되는 4월부터 서울, 대구 등 대도시와 울진군 일원에 판매되고 있다.

울진 해방풍은 몇몇 농가들이 소규모로 재배해 오다가 2014년부터 울진군 농업기술센터를 중심으로 해방풍 시험계획을 수립해 연평균 재배면적 23.9%, 생산량 108%가 증가하는 등 빠르게 성장 중이며, 현재는 관내 6ha 면적에 연간 약 40톤이 생산되고 있다.

특히, 경북농업기술원과 2015년부터 공동연구를 수행해 해방풍 종자 생산, 육묘, 친환경재배 등의 기술개발과 농가기술 보급에 노하우를 확보하였으며, 올해는 고설베드 양액재배 기술을 개발해 노동생산성을 높일 예정이다.

황증호 울진군농업기술센터 소장은 “해방풍 재배농가들이 안정적인 소득을 올릴 수 있도록 노동력 절감기술을 개발해 생산성 및 수익성 확대에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.
