[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 대통령직 인수위 경남지역 대국민 보고회가 열린 경남도청 앞에서 3일 창원방위산업 중소기업협의회 오병후 회장은 방사청 대전 이전 확정에 따른 1인 시위를 강행했다.
최근 방사청 이전이 대전으로 확정됨에 따라 창원시 방산기업들은 강한 불만을 표출하고, 창원은 육·해·공군의 방위산업 체계기업과 2,500여개 이상의 협력기업이 혼재된 전국 최대 방산기업 집적지이자 전국 최대 규모의 방위산업 종사자들과 관계자 그리고 관련기업들이 유기적인 관계를 갖추고 있는 국내 유일의 방위산업 메카 도시라고 설명했다.
창원은 육·해·공군의 방위산업 체계기업과 2,500여개 이상의 협력기업이 혼재된 전국 최대 방산기업 집적지이자, 전국 최대 규모의 방위산업 도시이며, 국내 유일의 방위산업 메카라고 말했다.
전국 국가지정 방위산업체 85개 중 17개(경남 27개)가 있고, 방위산업 매출액과 수출량에 있어서도 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다.
이전 방위산업이 국내에 기반을 두었다면 지금의 방위산업은 해외를 겨냥한 수출산업으로, 매년 수출량은 늘어나고 있고, 산업의 특성상 긴밀하게 협력이 요구되는 만큼 방위산업진흥원이 있어야 할 곳은 창원이 가장 적합하다고 밝혔다.
