브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 전국 신용카드 사용처에서 사용 가능한 차세대 교통카드가 나온다.
GS25는 6일, 기존의 교통카드를 뛰어넘은 새로운 3세대 교통카드인 ‘신용결제교통카드’를 업계 단독으로 선보인다고 밝혔다.
해당 교통카드는 GS25에서 단독 운영되는 ‘킹정카드’ 1종과, 캐시비에서 운영되는 ‘로카모빌리티카드’ 2종이다. 가격은 4000원이다. 이달 31일까지 행사가 3000원이 적용된다.
GS25는 교통카드를 주로 사용하는 학생들을 위해 최근 1020세대가 가장 많이 사용한다는 ‘킹정(정말 인정하다)’이란 단어를 사용해 ‘신용결제교통카드’를 ‘킹정카드’로 네이밍 했다.
기존 1세대 교통카드는 교통카드 가맹점에서만 충전 및 사용이 가능하며 분실 시 잔액에 대해 환불을 받을 수 없었다.
2세대 교통카드는 신용카드, 체크카드에 교통카드 기능을 탑재한 것으로 카드 발급을 위해 필요한 서류들을 준비해 은행을 방문해야 하는 번거로움이 발생했다.

신용결제교통카드는 구매 후 별도의 가입 절차 없이 교통카드 사용처에서 언제든지 쉽고 편리하게 충전 및 사용이 가능하며 전국 모든 신용카드 사용처에서도 이용이 가능하다.
또한, 신용카드처럼 결제 시 소득공제가 자동으로 반영되며, 선불형 카드로는 최초로 교통카드 분실 시 카드 번호를 통해 잔액 조회 및 환불 처리가 가능하다.
GS25는 신용카드와 교통카드 기능이 합쳐진 3세대 교통카드가 정상 등교가 시작된 현시점과 맞물려 10대 학생들을 중심으로 큰 호응을 받을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
