지난 2020년 8월 5일부터 시행된 신용정보법 개정안에 따라 탐정 관련 명칭의 사업이 가능해졌기에 탐정 자격증 취득에 대한 관심이 더욱더 열기를 더하는 가운데, 이달 14일 서울 동국대학교 법학관 모의법정실에서 관련기관 전·현직 단체장은 물론, 학계, 언론계, 지도교수 등이 참석한 가운데 PIA사설탐정사 동국대학교 제76기 최고경영자과정 수료식이 거행되었다.
이날 수료식에는 동국대학교 법무대학원 강동욱 前 원장, 한국특수교육재단 정학균 총장, 한국공인탐정협회 하금석 회장, 대한공인탐정연구원 백기종 원장 등이 참석하여 진행하였으며 아울러 내·외빈 및 지도교수, 교육생 등 50여명이 참석하여 PIA사설탐정사 최고경영자과정에 대한 높은 열기를 보여주었으며, 수료식 행사를 마치고 수료생들과 석별의 정을 나누며 앞으로 PIA 회원으로서 친목도모와 상호 정보 교류는 물론 협회 발전에 최선을 다하기로 다짐하였다.

PIA 자격증은 탐정 관련 자격으로는 자격기본법 제17조 의거 교육과학기술부 산하 한국직업능력개발원에 등록(제2009-0001호)되어 국내에서는 10여년전부터 한국특수교육재단에서 최초로 발행해오고 있다.
PIA사설탐정사 자격증 취득 최고경영자과정은 서울 동국대학교, 서울 디지털대학교, 부산 동의대학교, 광주 동강대학교, 천안 백석대학교 등 전국 각지에서 실시하고 있으며, 이 과정을 수료하면 대학교 총장 명의의 교육수료증 및 수료패와 PIA 자격증 및 자격인증서, PIA 신분증 등을 부여받으며 PIA 자격취득에 따른 기타 각종 특전 혜택을 얻을 수 있다.

이 PIA사설탐정사 자격은 우리나라 최초의 탐정 관련 전문 자격증으로 자격기본법에 의거 등록된 자격증이며, 다음 기수인 제77기는 올여름 7월경 동국대학교 법무대학원에서 실시될 예정이다.
일부 타 대학교 및 신설기관에서 실시하는 과정들은 PIA 관련 명칭의 자격을 취득할 수 없으므로 교육 신청시 발급기관을 살피는 주의가 요구된다.
