[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도의회는 대한민국 시·도의회 운영위원장협의회 제7차 정기회를 9일 거제 소노캄 호텔에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

경상남도의회 운영위원회(위원장 심상동) 주관으로 열린 정기회는 대한민국 시·도의회 운영위원장 및 관계공무원 등 80여 명이 참석한 가운데, 김하용 경상남도의회 의장도 참석해 정기회 개최를 축하했다.

협의회는 이날 정기회에서 의장협의회 제3차~4차 임시회 개최 결과 및 대정부 건의 회신 결과 보고와 함께 우수자치법규 사례집 제작 계획, 그간 협의회 주요 성과 및 정책 제언사항 등을 논의했다.

심상동(더불어민주당, 창원12) 경상남도의회 운영위원장은 환영사를 통해 “시·도의회 상호 간의 공동이해와 관련된 사안을 사전 협의하는 역할을 맡고 있는 협의회에서 그간 실질적인 광역의회 발전을 위해 큰 역할을 해왔다”고 강조하며 “불합리한 제도와 관행을 지속적으로 발굴·개선하고, 합리적인 지방자치 발전전략을 모색하기 위해 앞으로도 협의회의 역할이 중요하다”고 밝혔다.
