브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 법무부 장관은 16일 '산하기관장 사퇴 종용 의혹'에 대해 검찰 수사가 진행되고 있는 것과 관련, 문재인 정권에 대한 정치보복이라는 주장을 "국민은 동의하지 않을 것"이라고 일축했다.
한동훈 장관은 이날 서울 중구 프레스센터에서 열리는 교정대상 시상식에서 기자들과 만나 "그 누구도 법 위에 있을 수 없다고 생각한다. 검찰과 경찰은 중대범죄를 제대로 수사하라고 국민 세금으로 월급을 받고 있는 것"이라고 밝혔다.
그는 검찰이 산업부 블랙리스트, 여가부 공약 개발 의혹 등에 대해 수사를 진행하는 것은 문재인 정권에 대한 정치보복이라는 민주당의 주장에 대해 어떻게 생각하느냐는 질문에 "저는 수사에 대해 구체적으로 지휘하지 않는다"면서 "아주 지극히 상식적인 일반론을 말씀드린다. 중대한 범죄를 수사하는 것을 정치보복이라고 부르는 것에 대해 상식적인 많은 국민들이 전혀 동의하지 않을 거라고 생각한다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "부패 범죄에 대해 수사를 제대로 해서 국민의 보호하는 게 검찰과 경찰의 존재 이유"라고 덧붙였다.
한동훈 장관은 또한 취임 한 달을 앞둔 소회를 묻는 질문에도 "지금은 소회를 말할 단계가 아니다"라며 "일을 열심히 할 단계다. 저는 법무부에서 할 일을 열심히 잘하고 싶은 생각"이라고 했다.

On the 16th, Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon dismissed the claim of political retaliation against the Moon Jae In regime in connection with the prosecution's ongoing investigation into the alleged resignation of the head of an affiliated organization.
"I don't think anyone can be above the law," Minister Han Dong-hoon told reporters at the Correctional Awards ceremony held at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. The prosecution and the police are being paid with taxpayers' money to properly investigate serious crimes," he said.
Asked what he thought of the Democratic Party's claim that the prosecution's investigation into the Ministry of Industry's blacklist and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's pledge development is political retaliation against the Moon Jae In regime, he said, "I don't specifically direct the investigation." I don't think many people in common sense would agree at all to call investigating serious crimes a political retaliation," he said.
He added, "The reason for the existence of the prosecution and the police is to properly investigate corruption crimes and protect the people."
Minister Han Dong-hoon also said, "This is not the stage to talk about my thoughts," and added, "I am in the stage of working hard." I want to do my best at what the Ministry of Justice has to do," he said.
