[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] (재)산청세계전통의약항노화엑스포조직위원회(이하 조직위)는 7일부터 8일까지 양일간 대한한의사협회, 대한한약사회, 대한한방병원협회를 방문해 엑스포 홍보 활동을 펼쳤다.
조직위는 각 협회 임원들과의 설명회를 통해 한의계 전반의 동참 확산 분위기 조성을 위한 사전 답사 여행, 업무협약 체결, 세계전통의약 체험 등 관련분야 프로그램 운영 방안, 학술대회 추진 등에 대한 협의했다.
내년에 개최되는 ‘산청세계전통의약항노화엑스포’는 중국의 의학에 의존하던 대한민국 의학에 새로운 지평을 열고, 대한민국에서 자생하는 약초에 근거하고 우리나라 사람들의 체질에 맞는 한의학을 집대성한 동의보감 발간 400주년을 기념하기 위해 개최된 ‘2013 산청세계전통의약엑스포’ 10주년을 기념하기 위한 행사다.
이에 한의계에서 그 의미가 특별한 만큼 조직위는 한의계의 적극적인 동참을 위해 이번 서울 방문을 계획한 것이다.
아울러 지난 6월 대한한의사협회 경상남도한의사회장과 산청군한의사회장, 대한한약사회 수석부회장과 경남지부장 등 도내 한의계 인사들과의 설명회를 통해 중앙회와의 가교 역할에 힘써 달라고 요청한 바 있다.
조직위 관계자는 “216만명의 관람객이 다녀간 2013산청세계전통의약엑스포의 성공 신화에 있어 한의계의 역할이 컸다”며 “한의계와의 소통과 협력을 통해서 성공적인 엑스포가 개최되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
