청년 환경동아리는 청취다방(청년의 취업과 소통이 있는 수다방)에서 진행한 청년작당 프로젝트 1탄 ‘나의 환경해방일지 쓰기 챌린지’에서 발전된 아이디어이다.
청년작당 프로젝트는 ‘청취다방 2022년 작심삼일은 없당’의 줄임말로써 혼자서는 만들기 어려운 건강한 생활 습관을 3주간 챌린지로 타파해보자는 취지로 기획되었다.

환경챌린지에 참여한 청년은 “다른 사람들은 어떻게 환경보호를 실천하고 있는지 볼 수 있어서 재미있었다. 혼자 할 때보다 실천 의지도 강해졌다. 환경 동아리를 만들어 다 같이 함께할 때 생기는 시너지 효과를 환경보호 활동에도 쓸 수 있으면 좋을 것 같다”는 의견을 밝혔다.
환경동아리는 ▲환경분야 교육 수강 ▲플라스틱 줄이기 ▲텀블러 사용 ▲격월 플로깅 활동 등 다양한 환경 보호 실천 활동을 진행할 예정이다. 활동 내용은 동아리가 결성된 후 변경될 수 있다.
동아리 참여 신청은 청취다방 홈페이지 또는 블로그를 통해 할 수 있으며 신청 기간은 7월 18일부터 7월 30일까지 2주간이다.
시 관계자는 “청년환경 동아리를 시작으로 청년이 주도적으로 이끄는 모임이 점차 확대되기를 기대한다. 청년동아리가 활성화될 수 있도록 많은 청년들의 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
한편 청년작당 프로젝트는 다가오는 9월에 2탄 ‘내 마음 딴딴 일지’가 12월에는 3탄 ‘다가올 내일·지’가 진행될 예정이다. 고양=박정호기자
