지난 6월 22일~23일 이틀간 북면지역 집중호우로 산불 피해지역에서 잿물이 대량으로 남대천 수계로 유입됨에 따라 즉시 간이 수질검사를 실시, 수질검사 결과 취수원의 탁도 기준인 0.5NTU을 초과하지는 않았지만 주민들의 심미적인 영향을 고려하여 울진정수장의 취수를 중단하고 근남정수센터에서 하루 10,000톤의 수돗물을 안정적으로 공급 했다.
