[브레이크뉴스=정철규기자] 진주시는 25일 LH를 비롯한 혁신도시 이전 공공기관과 관내 유관 기관장이 참석한 가운데 ‘진주혁신도시 기관장협의회 정례회를 개최했다.
이날 정례회에서는 11개 이전 공공기관과 더불어 국방기술진흥연구소도 신규회원으로 참석했으며, 제9대 진주시의회 의장도 함께했다.
시는 전략사업인 항공우주산업 육성을 위한 UAM사업 추진과 오는 2023년 아시아역도선수권대회의 성공적인 개최에 참석 기관장들의 적극적인 지원과 협조를 요청하였다.
또 진주시는 기관별 홍보사항도 공유하고 혁신도시 활성화와 지역상생 발전방안에 대해 논의하는 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
조규일 진주시장은 “이전 공공기관의 협조로 혁신도시 정주여건이 크게 개선됐다”며“앞으로 수도권 공공기관 추가 이전 시 기존 기관과 연관 있는 기관이 진주로 이전되도록 협조를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
한편 진주혁신도시 기관장협의회는 지난 2017년 5월 이전 공공기관의 안정적 정착과 정주여건 개선을 위해 17개 기관장이 참여해 창립했다.
