브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 바디프랜드는 고객 대상으로 무료로 제공된 일부 사은품에서 배터리 소손(燒損) 현상이 발생돼 자발적으로 리콜(시정조치)을 진행한다고 29일 밝혔다.
바디프랜드가 리콜하기로 한 제품은 올해 3월부터 약 3개월간 고객에게 제공된 엠씨테크놀러지의 슈퍼터치 4D어깨안마기 1777대로, 해당 기간 중 바디프랜드 제품을 렌탈, 구매한 고객에게 사은품으로 주어졌다.
바디프랜드는 고객 안전을 위해 만에 하나 있을 수 있는 안전사고를 방지하고자 전량 리콜 처리하기로 결정했다고 설명했다.
바디프랜드는 사은품을 제공받은 고객 대상으로 개별 연락을 통해 29일부터 해당 제품에 대한 사용 중단과 제품 회수에 대해 고지하고, 교환 또는 환불을 포함한 적절한 보상 조치를 안내할 예정이다.
바디프랜드 관계자는 “당사가 직접 생산한 제품인지의 여부를 막론하고 고객 분들께 불편과 심려를 끼쳐 드린 점 진심으로 사과 드린다”며 “신속하게 모든 고객 분들께 순차적으로 연락 드려 리콜 조치를 진행할 예정으로, 고객 안전을 최우선으로 생각해 전량 회수하고 적절한 보상을 해드리는 것으로 결정했다”고 말했다.
