[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 청년희망프로젝트인 ‘2021년 청년몰 조성 시범사업’을 통해 ‘청년가게 1호점’을 탄생시켰다.
오태완 의령군수는 5일 청년가게 1호점 현판을 걸어주고 점포를 관람하면서 청년가게 개점을 축하했다.
'청년몰 조성 시범사업'은 예비 청년 소상공인의 창업 지원을 통해 청년 일자리 창출 및 의령 정착을 목적으로 시행한 청년 정책사업이다.
군은 이번 1호점에 이어 청년가게 2호점도 내달 안에 개업을 서두르고 있다.
5일 개업을 하고 본격 영업에 나선 청년가게 1호점인 ‘벨라독’은 지난해 청년몰 조성 시범사업에 선정되어 초기 창업비용 1,500만원을 지원받아 탄생한 창업 점포이다.
‘벨라독’ 대표 김민서 씨(23)는 반려동물을 사랑하는 청년으로 지역에 반려견 위탁 돌봄시설이 부족한 점에 착안하여 의령읍에 반려견 전문 위탁 돌봄시설을 개점하고자 청년몰 조성사업에 참여했다.
김 씨는 “의령군 청년가게 1호점으로 느끼는 자부심이 크다. 지역에 도움이 되는 청년 사업가로 성장하고 싶다”며 “다른 지역에서 의령을 찾아오는 관광객들이 반려견을 동반하더라도 편하게 반려견을 맡기고 식사나 관광을 할 수 있음을 홍보하여 지역경제 활성화에 작은 기여라도 하고 싶다”고 개업 소감을 말했다.
그는 애견 미용을 비롯한 유치원 및 호텔 서비스를 이용함에 있어 쾌적한 환경에서 최상의 돌봄서비스를 제공하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.
오태완 군수는 “경남의 중심 의령군에서 창업에 도전하는 청년의 앞날에 응원을 보낸다. 사업체를 운영하는 데 의령군도 힘이 되어 줄 것”이라며 “ “청년희망프로젝트를 비롯해 청년들의 정착과 활력을 돕는 맞춤형 전략 추진과제를 충실히 검토하고 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 의령군은 올해 청년 소상공인 창업 지원금을 상향해 창업 경비의 최대 80%까지, 최대 2,500만원을 지원한다.
