브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아가 10일 다음달 초 출시를 앞둔 더 뉴 레이의 상품성 개선 모델 ‘더 뉴 기아 레이(The new Kia Ray)’의 디자인을 공개했다.
더 뉴 기아 레이는 기아의 디자인 철학 ‘오퍼짓 유나이티드(Opposites United)’의 네 가지 속성 중 하나인 ‘이유 있는 즐거움(Joy for Reason)’에서 영감을 받아 더욱 세련되고 감각적인 이미지를 갖췄다.
전면부는 ‘스타맵 시그니처 라이팅’과 면을 깔끔하게 처리한 센터 가니쉬(중앙부 장식)를 수평으로 길게 배치해 확장된 ‘타이거 페이스’를 구현했다.
편평하고 각진 범퍼 디자인은 휠을 감싼 차체의 볼륨감과 조화로운 대비를 이루며 레이만의 고유한 디자인을 완성한다. 이와 함께, 범퍼 하단부에 적용한 스키드 플레이트(차체 하부 보호판)는 한층 세련되고 단단한 느낌을 더한다.
