브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 하태경 국민의힘 의원은 26일 법원이 이준석 전 대표가 낸 당 비대위 효력정지 가처분 신청을 일부 인용하며 주호영 비대위원장의 직무가 정지된데 대해 "법원이 우리 당의 폭주에 제동을 걸었다"고 평가했다.
하태경 의원은 이날 페이스북을 통해 "파국만은 막아야 한다는 안팎의 호소를 무시하고 정치로 해결할 수 있는 기회를 걷어찬 결과, 법원에 의해 당의 잘못이 심판받은 것"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "현 위기 상황에 대한 정치적 해법을 거부한 당 지도부는 이 파국에 대해 책임져야 한다"며 "최근 한달여간 당이 진행시킨 일들이 정당민주주의에 위반된다는 법원의 지적이 매섭다. 국민의힘이 반민주정당으로 낙인찍힌 것"이라고 지적했다.
이어 "이제라도 민주적인 정당으로 재탄생하는 근본적인 변화를 만들어야 한다"며 "공정과 상식을 내걸고 탄생한 정권에서 그 여당이 공정과 상식을 철저히 말살하는 짓을 저지른 것 어떻게 용서받을 수 있겠나"라고 반문했다. 그러면서 "너무 슬프고 괴로운 날"이라고 덧붙였다.
한편 하태경 의원은 당이 비대위 체제로 전환할 당시에도 이준석 전 대표를 강제 해임하는 당헌 개정안은 부결해야 한다고 주장하며 이 전 대표가 복귀할 수 있는 길을 열어둬야 한다고 촉구해왔다.
국민의힘 비대위는 이번 법원 결정으로 그야말로 대혼란의 상황이다. 권성동 원내대표는 오는 27일 오후4시 긴급 의원총회를 열고, 재판부의 판결문을 어떻게 해석해야 하는지, 어떤 식으로 수습해나가야 할지 등 대책을 논의하기로 했다.
