함안서 제10회 강주해바라기 축제 개막

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 제10회 강주해바라기축제가 26일 함안 법수면 강주마을 일원에서 개막했다.

이날 개막식에는 조근제 군수, 곽세훈 의장, 조영제·조인제 도의원 등을 비롯한 내빈들이 참석했으며 축제는 오는 9월 13일까지 펼쳐진다.

강주해바라기축제위원회가 주관한 이번 축제에는 식재면적 1개 단지, 총 2만㎡ 규모 내 20만 송이의 해바라기 꽃을 선보이며 축제기간 동안 천연염색 체험 및 판매 승마체험 함안군 굿즈 만들기 지역 농·특산물 판매 품바공연 우산대여 등이 다채롭게 마련됐다.

축제 관람시간은 매일 오전 8시부터 오후 7시까지로 입장은 오후 6시까지 가능하다.

입장료는 2000원으로 마을 주민들의 소득창출과 더 나은 축제를 위해 쓰이며 법수면민 및 장애인과 미취학 아동은 무료다.

조근제 군수는 “폭염등 어려운 기상여건 속에서도 예쁜 해바라기 꽃을 피워내는데 애쓰신 강주해바라기 축제위원들에게 깊이 감사드리며 강주 해바라기가 축제장을 찾는 관람객 분들이 코로나19로 지친 마음에 위안을 얻는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편 강주해바라기 축제는 쇠락해가는 작은 농촌마을을 살리기 위해 마을 주민들이 힘을 모아 2013년부터 개최했으며 그 결과 ‘제1회 행복마을만들기 콘테스트’ 경관·환경 분야에서 국무총리상을 수상하는 등 성공한 주민자치형 마을 축제의 모범사례가 됐다.
