브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= SK는 추석을 앞두고 중소협력사들이 자금난 없이 현금을 원활히 운용할 수 있도록 물품대금 6495억원을 조기 지급한다고 2일 밝혔다.
이번 물품대금 조기 지급에는 SK하이닉스(4500억원), SK텔레콤(1320억원), SK실트론(377억원), SK E&S(105억원), SK㈜ C&C(80억원), SK스페셜티(77억원) 등 모두 10개 관계사가 참여했다.
이들 SK 관계사들은 지급 기한을 평균 10일 앞당겨 협력사에 대금을 지급할 예정이다. 이에 따른 이자비용은 SK가 부담한다.
이번 조기지급은 최근의 경기 불황과 금리 인상 등 대내외 악재로 자금 운용에 어려움을 겪어온 SK 협력사들에 적지않은 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이에 앞서 SK는 그동안 중소협력사들의 자금 운용, 기술 경쟁력 확보, 인재 채용 등에서도 상생협력을 위한 지원을 아끼지 않아왔다.
먼저, SK 14개 관계사들은 4480억원 규모의 동반성장펀드를 운용중에 있고, 협력사들에 이자율 1.01~1.83%를 감면한 저리대출 등을 지원하고 있다.
SK하이닉스는 1~2차 협력사들의 대금지불 조건 개선을 위해 무이자로 대출해주는 500억원 규모의 납품대금펀드를 별도로 운영중이다. 기술 잠재력이 큰 유망 중소기업을 ‘기술혁신기업’으로 선정해 기술개발 자금을 역시 무이자 대출로 지원한다. ‘반도체 아카데미’는 반도체 관련 산업지식과 노하우를 협력사 등에 공유해 왔다.
SK텔레콤은 올 설 명절과 하반기 원자재값 및 원·달러 환율 상승 등으로 자금난을 겪는 협력사를 위해 3480억원 규모의 자금을 조기 지급한 바 있다.

SK텔레콤은 코로나19로 인력 확보에 어려움을 겪는 협력사들을 위해 ‘비대면 채용 박람회’를 열고 있고, 협력사 신입사원 교육을 무상으로 지원하고 있다. SK실트론도 신입사원 교육 및 웨이퍼 제조공정 등 특화교육을 지원한다.
SK 관계자는 “앞으로도 중소협력사들과의 동반성장 및 지속가능 성장을 위해 실질적으로 도움이 될 수 있는 기업활동들을 지속적으로 벌여 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
