이번 행사는 그동안 결혼에 관심은 있지만 만남의 기회가 적었던 지역 내 미혼남녀들의 건전하고 자연스러운 만남 자리로 결혼 친화적 사회 분위기를 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.
참가자 모집에 있어 남성은 함양군으로 참여지역 제한을 두고 여성은 지역제한을 두지 않고 인근 시군구로의 탄력운영을 통해 높은 참여율을 기록했다.
