[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 행정안전부 주관 ‘2023년 우수저류시설 신규사업지구’로 신촌 우수저류시설 설치사업이 최종 선정되었다고 19일 밝혔다.
신촌지구 우수저류시설은 성산구 신촌동 신촌광장 내에 설치되는 방재시설물로 신촌광장 주변 저지대 지역에 위치한 공단로 및 산업단지, 주택지 등의 상습침수 해소를 통해 시민 재난 안전예방에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상된다.
이번 사업은 저류지 8,050㎥ 신설, 우수관로 3,650m을 확대 개량하는 재해예방사업이며 2023년 실시설계 용역을 시작하여 2026년에 사업 완료예정으로 총사업비 153억원 중 국비 76억원(보조율 50%), 도비 15억원(보조율 10%)을 지원 받게되어 재해예방사업 추진에 대한 시 재정 부담을 크게 줄일 수 있는 계기가 됐다.
