이번 걷기 캠페인은 평소 가까운 거리는 차량 대신 걸어 다니는 습관으로 탄소배출을 줄이고, 올해 목표인 61억 걸음을 달성하면 내년 6만1000그루의 나무를 심어 탄소흡수원을 늘리는 친환경 활동을 지속 실천하자는 취지로 계획했으며, 추진위원들의 첫걸음으로 시작했다.
