전국의 탁구를 사랑하고 좋아하는 탁구동호인들 700여 명이 참가하여 실력을 겨루는 이번 대회에는 어르신들 경기(라지볼)와 남녀 일반부로 나누어 진행된다.
이번 대회에는 올림픽 금메달리스트인 현정화 감독과 서효원 선수의 팬 사인회 및 시범경기도 예정되어 있어 많은 볼거리를 제공할 예정이다.
손병복 울진군수는“경기장 시설정비, 교통안내, 위생업소 점검 등으로 선수들이 불편함이 없도록 준비했다”며“아울러 각종 스포츠시설 확충 및 스포츠마케팅을 통한 울진군을 널리 알리고 지역경제 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다고”밝혔다.
