건군 제74주년 국군의 날을 맞아 1일 충남 계룡대 대연병장에서는 국군의 날 기념식이 개최됐다.
기념식에는 ‘튼튼한 국방! 과학기술 강군 !’을 주제로 진행됐으며, 윤석열 대통령과 김진표 국회의장, 이종섭 국방부 장관 등이 참석했다.
또 6.25전쟁 참전용사인 해병대 1기 출신 이봉식옹과 명품자주포 K-9을 개발중인 고(故) 김동수 대령의 아들 초청됐다.
이외에도 전ㆍ후방 각지에서 확고한 현행작전태세를 유지하고, 각자의 위치에서 묵묵히 제 역할을 다해 온 강군 육성 유공 장병과 미래 국군의 주역인 생도들도 함께해 의미를 더했다.
기념식은 국민의례에 이어 통합특수부대, 지상전시전력,각 군 사관학교 대한 열병 및 부대 및 개인에 대한 훈·포장 수여 등의 순으로 진행됐다.
기념식에 이어 열린 식후 행사는 연합·합동 고공강하, 공중전력 사열, 블랙이글스 축하 비행, 합동 특공무술, 국군의 결의 및 국군의 사명 제창 순으로 진행됐다.
먼저 연합·합동 고공강하에선 육·해·공군, 해병대와 미군 장병으로 구성된 50명의 특수부대 장병들이 참가했다. . 또 올해 영국 '리아트' 에어쇼에서 최우수상과 인기상을 받은 공군 특수비행팀 '블랙이글스'가 축하비행을 했다
