[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 6일 상대동행정복지센터 2층에서 상대지구 도시재생 활성화계획 수립을 위한 공청회를 개최해 지역민의 관심이 쏠리고 있다.
이번 공청회는 지난 9월 신청한 국토교통부 도시재생사업 공모를 통해 상대지구 도시재생사업의 추진전략과 사업 계획을 주민들에게 설명하고 지역주민과 전문가의 의견을 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.
상대지구는 지난 2014년 옛 창원지방법원과 검찰청이 신안동 이전 후 지역 활력이 떨어지고, 원도심 외곽지역으로 도시가 확장되면서 유동인구가 감소하는 등 쇠퇴양상이 가속화되고 있다.
이날 토론에서 옛 법조 부지 내 지역대학과 연계해 청년과 지역주민이 함께 지역문제를 해결하고 로컬 창업을 유도하는 로컬크리에이터 육성사업 활성화계획안에 대해 다양한 의견이 제시됐다.
