브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 티웨이항공은 17일 보도자료를 통해 오는 12월 23일 ‘인천~시드니’ 노선에 신규 취항하고, 창립 12년 만에 장거리 운항에 첫발을 내디딘다고 밝혔다.
티웨이항공은 기존 대비 합리적인 수준의 운임에도 꼭 필요한 서비스는 제공해 한국과 호주를 오가는 교민, 유학생, 비즈니스 등 상용 고객과 늘어나는 양국 관광객들의 선택권을 넓히고, 여행 편의성을 제고한다는 계획이다.
시드니 노선에 투입되는 A330 기종은 대형항공사 수준의 레그룸을 갖춘 이코노미 클래스 335석과, 프리미엄 플랫베드 좌석의 비즈니스 세이버 클래스 12석으로 운영된다.
해당 노선에는 비즈니스 세이버 클래스 2식, 이코노미 클래스 1식의 기내식이 무상으로 제공되며, 이코노미 탑승객은 추가 주문을 원할 경우 사전 예약도 가능하다. 또한, 저렴한 이벤트 운임 구매 시에도 23kg까지 무료 수하물 위탁이 가능하며, 스마트 또는 일반 운임 구매 시 30kg, 비즈니스 세이버 클래스는 40kg까지 제공한다.
노선 운항 계획은 현지 시각 기준 매주 월·수·금·토요일 오후 10시 20분 인천공항을 출발해 다음 날 오전 10시 45분 시드니에 도착하며, 현지 출발 항공편은 매주 화·목·토·일요일 낮 12시 15분 시드니공항을 출발, 오후 9시 5분 인천공항에 도착하는 일정이다.
