브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤상현 국민의힘 의원은 18일 한국 독자 핵무장론에 대해 "현실이 녹록치 않다"며 미국이 절대로 용인하지 않을 것이라고 했다. 당권주자로 분류되는 윤상현 의원은 이날 KBS 라디오 '최경영의 최강시사'에서 "저도 정말 독자적 핵무장을 하고 싶다. 솔직하게 핵에는 핵, 눈에는 눈, 이에는 이 이게 가장 쉬운 옵션"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "우리가 핵개발을 한다면 NPT(핵확산금지조약) 체제를 탈퇴해야 하는데, 국제적 신인도도 하락되고 외교적·경제적으로 고립될 수밖에 없다"면서 "미국이 절대로 핵무장은 용인하지 않을 것"이라고 말했다.
이어 한반도 전술핵 재배치론에 대해서도 "다소 회의적"이라고 부정적으로 바라봤다. 그는 "미국 입장에선 중국과 러시아의 반응을 봐야 될 거고, 군사적 실효성 문제다. B61 전술핵폭탄을 우리 전투기에 싣고 공대지 미사일로 쏘는 건데 (북한 핵공격에 실시간으로 대응하기 어려워) 아니라고 하는 분들도 많다"고 했다.
그러면서 "핵 탑재 미국 잠수함 등을 한반도 영해 바깥에 상시 배치하고, 한미간 핵공유 협정을 맺는 것이 최선의 대안이라고 생각한다"고 강조했다.
윤 의원은 다만 '미국 핵우산'이 북한의 핵공격에서 한국을 지켜줄 수 있을지에도 우려가 있다고 밝혔다.
그는 "지금 북핵 미사일 수준이 ICBM은 마이애미, SLBM은 태평양상에 가서 LA를 때릴 수 있는 정도로 위협이 고도화됐다"면서 "북한이 정말로 핵 도발을 했을 때, 미국이 LA가 공격당할 위험을 무릅쓰고 우리를 지원하겠느냐 우려가 있는 게 사실이고, 이를 최소화하기 위해 북한에 대해 실질적 억제력을 확보하는 게 중요하다"고 말했다.
