[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도의회 김진부 의장이 20일 서울에서 개최된 대한민국시도의회의장협의회 2022년 제5차 임시회에서 제18대 전반기 수석부회장으로 선출됐다고 경남도의회는 20일 보도자료를 통해 밝혔다.
김 의장은 지난 9월 정기회에서 선출된 김현기 회장과 함께 1년간 협의회를 이끈다.
수석부회장으로 선출된 김 의장은 도의원 4선, 시의원 3선의 경력으로 지방의회에 대한 이해도가 높고 그간 타 시·도 의장들과 쌓아온 유대와 신뢰를 바탕으로 김현기 회장과 함께 누구보다 협의회를 잘 이끌어 갈 적임자라는 평가를 받았다.

김진부 의장은 인사말에서“지방의회 독립 원년으로 대한민국시도의장협의회 차원에서 중앙부처와 협의해야 할 사안이 많다. 경험이 많은 타·시도 의장과 힘을 모아 새로운 지방의회의 틀을 만들겠다. 그리고 지방자치 발전과 민주주의 성숙을 위해 「1의원 1보좌관제」 도입과 「지방의회법」제정을 임기 내 꼭 완수하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
이날 경남도의회에서 제출한 “1의원 1보좌관제 도입”과 “지방의회법 제정”이 원안 가결돼 향후 대한민국시도의장협의회의 이름으로 중앙부처에 건의할 예정이다.
