[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 고유 펀드인 ‘C-블루윙 펀드 2호’ 조성에 박차를 가하고 있다.
창원시는 1일 ㈜경남벤처투자·창원시·창원산업진흥원 관계자가 참석한 가운데 C-블루윙 펀드 2호 ‘차세대 지역뉴딜＆바이오 펀드’의 조성과 원활한 운영을 위한 상호협력 협약을 체결했다.
‘C-블루윙 펀드’는 창원의 영문명 첫 글자 ‘C’와 창원의 젊음·생기를 뜻하는 ‘블루’, 날개 ‘윙’의 합성어로서 창원특례시장의 공약사항인 스타트업의 스케일업를 위한 1,000억원 펀드 조성을 목표로 창원 산업에 날개를 달아 생동감을 불러일으키겠다는 의지를 담아 네이밍 한 창원특례시 고유 펀드 명칭이다.
이날 협약을 통해 펀드 운용사인 ㈜경남벤처투자는 창원특례시의 출자금 10억원의 3배인 30억원 이상을 창원 지역에 본점, 지점, 연구소 또는 공장을 둔 유망 기술 창업 기업에 투자한다.
창원산업진흥원은 창원 내 유망기술 스타트업을 발굴하고 육성해 기술창업 활성화를 위해 노력한다.
이를 위해 시는 정부 모태펀드 출자 사업 중 중소벤처기업부 소관 ‘지역뉴딜＆바이오 투자조합’ 펀드 계정에 출자해 기업 성장을 위해 행·재정적으로 지원한다.
총 200억원 규모로 조성되는 이 펀드는 운용사인 ㈜경남벤처투자와 특별조합원 동남권지역뉴딜 벤처펀드, 유한책임조합원 6개 기관이 참여한다.
시는 올해 11월부터 3년간 총 10억원을 출자해 2030년까지 스타트업의 투자 유치를 이끌어 낼 계획이라고 전했다.
안경원 창원특례시 제1부시장은 “정부 모태펀드와 시 재원을 활용한 안정적이고 효율적인 ‘C-블루윙 펀드’를 지속적으로 조성해 지역 내 유망 기술 스타트업의 성장을 지원하고 투자-성장-회수-재투자의 선순환을 통한 창원특례시 기술창업 투자 생태계를 확장시켜 나가도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 창원특례시는 C-블루윙 펀드 1호 ‘인라이트 연구개발특구 지역혁신펀드’에 20억 출자해 5개 기업 29억의 투자 성과를 이뤄낸 바 있다.
