[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시 홍태용 시장이 외부 사업소를 찾아 정례조회를 가져 눈길을 끌었다.
홍 시장은 1일 농업기술센터를 찾아 직원과 시민 150여명이 참석한 가운데 찾아가는 11월 정례조회와 직원 간담회를 가졌다.
시장이 외청을 방문해 정례조회를 하기는 이번이 처음이다.
매월 1회 정례조회는 지금까지 모두 시청에서 개최됐지만 소통과 통합을 강조하는 홍 시장의 의지를 반영해 11월 정례조회는 처음으로 시청사가 아닌 농업기술센터에서 이뤄졌다.
이날 정례조회에서 홍 시장은 자랑스러운 CEO ㈜나우이엔에스 대표이사 김정대, 선행시민 주촌농협 김창성 등 14명, 도내 우수기관 등 총 16명에 대한 표창과 상장을 전수했다.

홍 시장은 “김해시의 비전과 목표인 ‘꿈이 이루어지는 따뜻한 행복도시 김해’의 기저에는 농업이 있다”며 “농업 경쟁력 강화와 정주환경 개선이란 두 가지 큰 목표를 중심으로 스마트팜 조성과 농촌개선사업을 병행해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이어 농업기술센터 직원과 시장이 함께하는 ‘시장님 궁금해요’ 생생 토크 대화의 시간이 마련돼 참석 직원들은 직접 만나기 어려웠던 시장에게 시장 취임 100일간의 행보, 시정 운영 방향, 시청 조직 문화 등 평소에 하고 싶었던 질문과 건의사항을 가감 없이 쏟아 냈다.
직원들의 질문에 홍 시장은 “시장의 역할은 행정의 방향을 제시하는 것이고 실행하고 맛을 내는 사람은 공무원이다. 공직자가 업무에 대해 연구해 실력을 쌓고 열정적으로 업무를 수행하면 시민들로부터 존중받고 신뢰받는 행정이 구현될 것”이라며 직원들과 교감하고 격려했다.
간담회에 참석한 한 공무원은 “찾아가는 정례조회는 물로 직원과 함께하는 소통 간담회는 처음이다. 농업기술센터를 방문한 것에 감사하고 시장님의 말씀에 깊이 공감했다”며 “농업 분야에 근무하는 직원으로서 김해시의 농업이 생명농업, 미래농업, 활기찬 농업으로 도약하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
