[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도가 미국상의와 도내 기업의 미국 수출을 확대하고 시장 판로를 개척하기 위해 서로 협력하는 시간을 가졌다.
경남도는 2일 창원상공회의소, 미주한인상공회의소총연합회, 미국 캘리포니아주 오렌지카운티 한인상공회의소, 얼바인 상공회의소와 간담회를 가졌다.
이날 간담회는 박완수 경상남도지사를 비롯해 구자천 창원상공회의소회장, 최행렬 미주한인상공회의소총연합회 총괄수석부회장, 구교진 오렌지카운티 한인 상공회의소 이사장, 태미킴 얼바인시 시의원, 카를로스 오레곤 얼바인 상공회의소 이사장 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
미국 오렌지카운티 한인상의와 얼바인상의, 미주한인상의총연합회(이하 미국상의)는 1일부터 울산에서 개최되고 있는 ‘제20차 세계한상대회’에 참가하기 위해 방문했다.
이들은 미국 수출 확대를 위한 통상활동과 회원사의 미국시장 진출에 적극 협력하고자 이날 창원상공회의소와 업무협약 및 파트너십을 체결했다.
경남도는 도청을 방문한 미국상의에 경상남도의 관광 및 투자환경을 소개하는 한편, 도내 기업의 미국 수출을 확대하고 시장 판로를 개척하기 위해 서로 협력하는 시간을 가졌다.
박완수 도지사는 “이번 창원상공회의소와 업무협약을 통해 인적.물적 교류를 활성화하는 계기가 되어 좋은 관계가 지속되기를 바란다”며 “미국에 수출되고 있는 경남의 우수한 농산물을 애용해 주시고, 내년 세계한상대회가 미국에서 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 경남도에서 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 세계한상대회는 재외동포 경제인과 국내 기업인이 한자리에 모여 글로벌 네트워크를 구축하고 한민족의 국제 경쟁력을 높이고자 마련된 자리다.
내년 ‘제21차 세계한상대회’는 역대 처음으로 해외에서 열리며, 미국 오렌지카운티가 개최지로 선정됐다.
