【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 3일 교통약자의 편의 증진을 위한‘2023년 경북 군단위 최초 전기 저상버스 도입’을 앞두고 군청 앞 버스 승강장에서 전기 저상버스 시승 행사를 실시했다고3일 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 울진군 주관으로 손병복 울진군수, 임승필 울진군의회 의장 및 울진군의회 의원, 김종훈 ㈜울진여객 대표를 비롯해 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
관계자들은 전기 저상버스에 직접 탑승해서 운행구간(울진군청 앞 버스 승강장 ~ 북면 부구리 버스정류장)에 대하여 휠체어 탑승 및 방지턱(장애물) 운행 가능 여부를 점검했다.
울진군에서 2023년도에 운행 예정인 전기 저상버스는 승차 정원이 총 50명(좌석 25명, 입석 25명)으로 1회 충전 시 420㎞ 운행이 가능하며, 충전 시간은 68분이 소요되고, 연료비는 기존 농어촌버스 대비 1/3수준으로 경감된다.
손병복 울진군수는 “2023년 1월 19일부터 노후 노선버스 교체 시 저상버스 의무화에 따라 기존 농어촌버스 탄소 배출 저감 및 유류대 인상 비용부담을 경감시키고, 울진군민들의 교통 편의를 도모하기 위하여 친환경 전기 저상버스를 내년부터 점진적으로 도입하여 섬기는 군정을 펼치겠다”라고 말했다.
