[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도 박완수 지사가 3일 로봇랜드와 구산해양관광단지 조성사업, 진해 웅동1지구 사업현장을 차례로 방문해 추진상황 점검에 나섰다.
이번 점검은 젊은이들의 고용창출 효과가 높은 관광산업으로 남해안권 관광개발을 위한 규제해소와 투자유치에 따른 현안 점검에 초점을 맞췄다
이날 박 지사는 로봇랜드를 찾아 “테마파크는 물론, 로봇랜드 내 컨벤션센터도 활성화될 수 있도록 하고, 로봇연구개발센터 입주기업들이 좋은 성과를 낼 수 있도록 적극 지원할 것”을 당부했다.
2019년 개장한 로봇랜드는 테마파크 외에도 연구·체험시설 등이 포함된 복합시설이다.
경남도는 민간사업자 실시협약 해지지급금과 관련해 법정 다툼에 있으나, 소송결과에 따라 로봇랜드 정상화를 위해 신규투자자 접촉 등 다각적인 방안을 마련할 계획이다.
로봇랜드 테마파크는 학생, 가족단위 방문객들이 꾸준히 찾아오고 있으며, 호텔, 콘도 건설 등 2단계 사업도 계획하고 있다.
박 지사는 이어 구산해양관광단지를 찾았다.

이에 창원시는 공공용지 확대, 개발이익 선환수 등으로 사업내용을 변경하고 지난해 재신청 후 결과를 기다리고 있는 상황이다.
이날 마지막으로 박 지사는 진해 웅동1지구 개발사업 현장을 찾아 부산진해경제자유구역청 등 실무관계자들과 함께 추진상황을 직접 점검하고, 문제점과 대책을 논의했다.
웅동1지구 개발사업은 골프장만 조성하고 장기간 중단돼 있는 상황으로 박 도지사 취임 직후 문제해결을 위해 사업참여 5자간 협의체를 구성한 바 있다.
경남도는 협의체를 통해 정상화 방안 마련을 위해 머리를 맞대고 있으며, 연내 합의에 이르지 못하면 민간사업자 협약해지 등 대안을 검토할 예정이다.
