브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰이 불법 대선자금을 모은 혐의로 김용 민주연구원 부원장을 구속한데 이어 정진상 더불어민주당 대표실 정무조정실장의 자택 등에 대한 압수수색에 나섰다.
김용 부원장과 함께 정진상 실장은 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 '최측근'으로 꼽히는 만큼, 사정당국의 칼 끝이 이재명 대표를 향해가고 있는 분위기다.
9일 법조계에 따르면 서울중앙지검 반부패수사1부(부장검사 엄희준)는 이날 정진상 실장 자택 등에 검사와 수사관을 급파해 불법 대선자금 관련 자료 확보에 나섰다.
검찰은 또한 정 실장이 근무하는 국회 당대표 비서실과 민주당사 당대표 비서실 등에 대해서도 압수수색 영장 집행 절차를 밟고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
검찰은 이재명 대표의 대선자금 명목으로 김용 부원장이 8억4700만원을 수수하는 과정에 정진상 실장도 관여했다고 보고 있다.
자금 전달에 관여한 것으로 알려진 유동규 전 성남도시개발공사 기획본부장, 정민용 변호사, 남욱 변호사 등은 불구속 기소됐다.
검찰은 특히 대장동 개발 과정에서 정 실장이 김용 부원장과 함께 사업자들에게 여러 특혜를 제공해주고 금품을 수수했고, 제공받은 자금이 이재명 대표까지 올라갔거나 대선 과정에서 쓰였을 가능성까지 열어두고 수사하고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
