브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자 = 성일종 국민의힘 정책위의장이 건설업의 어려운 현실에 대해 말하며 전임 문재인 정부의 정책을 비판하고 나섰다.
국민의힘 정책위원회는 16일 오전 국회 본관에서 '공정과 상식이 바로 선 건설 현장을 위한 규제 개혁 간담회'를 개최했다. 간담회에는 여당 관계자들을 비롯해 정부, 건설업계 측 인사들도 참석해 산업 현장 안전과 규제 해제, 금융 지원 등을 논의했다.
성일종 위의장은 이 자리에서 "문재인 정권의 균형 잃은 정책에 따라 우후죽순처럼 늘어난 건설 노조들의 불법 부당행위로 건설 현장에 정상적인 시스템이 무너지고 건설업 자체의 생산성과 경쟁력도 현저하게 떨어지고 있다"며 "노동자들의 권리 보호가 아니라 채용 강요, 금품 요구 등 도를 넘는 노조들의 불법행위는 공사 지연으로 현장 피해뿐 아니라 소비자들의 피해도 크다"고 지적했다.
성 위의장은 이와 함께 규제 개혁의 필요성을 언급했다. 그는 "건설 업계의 근본적인 어려움을 해소하고 건설 현장에 활력을 불어넣기 위해서는 고질적으로 지적돼왔던 건설 현장 규제를 혁파해야 한다"며 "이는 윤석열 정부가 최우선 국정 과제로 삼고 있는 민간이 주도하는 역동적 경제를 위한 규제 혁파와도 일맥상통한다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "많은 건설 현장에서 외국 인력을 활용할 수밖에 없는 건설 현장 특성상 외국 인력이 원활히 공급되어 현장에서 인력난이 일어나지 않도록 적극적인 제도 개선도 필요하다"고 덧붙였다.
