[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도는 17일 2023년 생활임금을 시간당 1만 1,021원으로 확정·고시했다.
이는 올해 생활임금인 1만 700원보다 3% 인상된 금액이며, 2023년 법정 최저임금인 9,620원 보다는 1,401원(14.6%) 높은 수준으로, 내년 생활임금 적용대상자가 법정 노동시간인 209시간을 근무할 경우, 한 달에 230만 3,389원을 지급 받게 된다.
‘생활임금’은 노동자가 교육·문화 등 각 분야에서 인간으로서 존엄성을 유지하며 실질적인 생활을 영위할 수 있도록 가계지출, 최저임금 등을 고려하여 결정하는 임금으로, 경상남도는 2020년 최초 도입 이후 매년 생활임금위원회 심의 결과를 반영하여 다음 연도 생활임금액을 결정해오고 있다.

특히, 그동안 생활임금 대상에서 제외되었던 ‘국비지원 노동자’를 내년부터 확대 적용하는 안건에 대해서는 위원 전원의 뜻을 모아 노동자 삶의 질 향상을 위해 가결하는 의미 있는 의결을 이루어 내게 됐다.
경남도 및 출자·출연기관 소속 노동자는 내년 1월 1일부터 2023년도 생활임금을 적용받게 된다.
