[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 17일 제3회의실에서 공공건축과 도시환경의 품격향상 및 시민 중심의 도시공간 창출을 위해 총괄건축가를 비롯한 26명의 공공건축가가 한자리에 모여 강연회를 개최했다.
이날 건축공간연구원 이영범 원장과 백선경 부연구위원이 강사로 초청되어 “1부. 건축의 사회적 공공성”, “2부. 민간전문가 제도의 이해, 수요자·이용자 중심 공공건축을 위한 공공건축가 역할”을 주제로 강연했다.
강의를 통해 총괄·공공건축가제도의 효율적 운영과 함께 시민이 공감하는 도시공간을 조성하고, 변화하는 공간을 유연하게 대응해, 수요자 중심의 도시공간을 시민들에게 제공하는데 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
앞으로 시는 총괄·공공건축가와 함께 건축·도시 공간의 공공적 가치 구현과 품격향상을 위한 구체적 운영 방안을 수립하고, 정기적으로 총괄·공공건축가 워크숍 개최를 통해 우수 자문사례를 공유하는 등 제도 활성화를 위해 최선을 다할 계획이다.

또한, 민간전문가 역할 확대를 통해 공공건축 혁신을 유도하여 사업 수립 단계에서부터 체계적인 자문시스템을 운영·관리하고, 대형사업은 총괄·공공건축가 Team 구성 전담 자문제도를 도입해, 도시 브랜드가치를 창출하고자 한다.
지금까지 양적 성장 과정에서 공급자 위주 행정 편의적, 획일화된 공공건축을 도시의 효율적 활용과 수요자·이용자 중심으로 대전환할 계획이다.
