브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 여야는 23일 이태원 참사 진상규명을 위한 국정조사를 실시하는 데 합의했다.
주호영 국민의힘 원내대표와 박홍근 더불어민주당 원내대표는 이날 오후 국회에서 공동기자회견을 갖고 "국회는 용산 이태원 참사 진상규명과 재발방지를 위한 국정조사를 실시한다"는 내용의 합의문을 발표했다.
합의문에 따르면 여야는 내년도 예산안을 처리한 뒤 이태원 참사 국정조사를 오는 24일부터 45일간 실시한다. 조사 기간은 본회의 의결을 통해 연장할 수 있는 내용도 담겼다.
국정조사특별위원회는 민주당 9인, 국민의힘 7인, 비교섭단체 2인으로 구성되며 위원장은 민주당이 맡기로 했다.
24일 본회의에서 국정조사 계획서가 승인되면 2023년도 예산안을 처리한 직후 기관보고, 현장검증, 청문회 등을 실시하기로 했다.
국정조사 대상 기관은 대통령실 국정상황실 ▲국가안보실 국가위기관리센터 ▲국무총리실 ▲행정안전부 ▲보건복지부(중앙응급의료상황실 포함) ▲대검찰청 ▲경찰청 ▲소방청 ▲서울특별시 ▲서울특별시 용산구 ▲서울경찰청 ▲서울 용산경찰서 ▲서울종합방재센터 ▲서울소방재난본부 ▲서울 용산소방서 ▲서울교통공사 등이다.
이외에 조사가 필요하다고 인정되는 기관은 향후 의결로 정할 수 있도록 했다.
조사목적과 조사범위 등 그 밖의 사항은 본회의에서 승인된 국정조사계획서에 따르기로 했다.
