[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시의회는 29일 오후 창원시청 정문에서 열린 ‘창원시 개발제한구역 전면해제 촉구 결의대회’에 전 의원들이 참여해 힘을 보탰다고 밝혔다.
이날 결의대회는 창원시 개발제한구역 주민연합회 주최로 400여 명의 회원과 시의회 전 의원이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며, 김이근 의장은 결의문을 낭독하며 개발제한구역 전면해제를 촉구하고 나섰다.

이어 개발제한구역 제도개선 취지에 따르면 “국민의 사유재산을 보호하고, 도시의 확장을 제한할 필요가 있는 대도시 권역은 개발제한구역을 유지하되, 지방 중소도시권의 개발제한구역은 전면 해제한다고 하였으나 지금까지도 창원특례시는 개발제한구역 해제에서 제외되었다”고 강조했다.
