[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도 청년정책추진단은 29일 경남도의회 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 통해 청년센터 폐지에 관한 입장을 입장문을 통해 밝혔다.

둘째, 경남 청년센터 이용실적도 저조하여, 광역 청년센터의 역할을 충분히 수행하지 못했다.
셋째, 시·군에 설치되어 있는 청년센터와 역할이 중복되어, 광역 단위 청년센터를 지속운영해야 할 필요성이 낮다고 판단했다.
이를 위해 내년도 당초 예산에 올해 청년지원 예산 815억원보다 215억원이 증액된 1,027억원을 편성했다.
경남 청년센터는 폐지되지만, 청년에 대한 지원은 오히려 강화된다고 밝혔다.
