[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 6일 오전 접견실에서 창원한마음병원이 겨울철 취약계층에 월동난방비로 사용해 달라며 1억 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
기탁된 난방비는 경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 복지사각지대 위기가구 667세대에 15만원씩 지원해 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 난방비 부담을 덜어줄 예정이다.
하충식 창원한마음병원 이사장은 “갑작스런 강추위가 찾아와 소외계층에 제일 필요한 월동난방비를 지원해 겨울나기에 조금이나마 도움이 되고 위로가 됐으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회를 위해 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 펼쳐 이웃과 가까이 다가갈 수 있는 의료기관이 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
홍남표 창원특례시장은 “우리지역 의료기관인 창원한마음병원에서 지난해에 이어 올해도 어려운 세대를 위해 1억 원의 난방비를 지원해 주신 것에 감사드린다”며 “이번 난방비 지원금은 이웃들에게 위로와 희망이 되는 만큼 꼭 필요한 세대를 찾아 사랑의 온기를 잘 전달하도록 하겠다”고 전했다.
창원한마음병원은 지역의 취약계층 및 아동보육시설 아동을 비롯해 장애아동·새터민·다문화가정 아동을 위해 다양한 지원활동을 이어가고 있으며, 청소년 장학사업 등 창원시민을 위한 사회공헌사업을 펼치고 있다.
